U.S. Ambassador to Palau John Hennessey-Niland’s visit to Taiwan over the weekend was the first by a U.S. ambassador in an official capacity in more than 40 years. It was the latest in a string of developments that suggests Taiwan is playing a larger role on the world stage[.] … Randall G.
