The Project 2049 Institute would like to congratulate President Tsai and the Tsai administration on the newly-appointed members of their national security leadership team.

President Tsai has assembled a seasoned and capable team of professionals to lead Taiwan’s crucial national security portfolios. The Project 2049 Institute welcomes closer defense cooperation between the United States and Taiwan in areas of mutual interest and benefit, especially in support of Taiwan’s current defense strategy.

Taiwan has and continues to play a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. We look forward to strengthening U.S.-Taiwan defense and security relations in the future.

The Honorable Randall G. Schriver

Chairman
